IGE Talks: The Trayvon Martin Case: Time: 7:00 pm; Event Description: Open forum for freewill donation, discussing a different topic every First Thursday at the Institute for Global Education, 1118 Wealthy S.E., Grand Rapids. We videotape and edit for showing on local cable public access channel 24 at 7 pm Thurs. and 10 am Sat., as well as online at tinyurl.com/igetalks. Tactics and morality; non-violence and fighting smart; coffee and donuts… everything is on the table!

The story may change between the time we hold the forum and the time people see our video, so we’d like to broaden the discussion to include other cases like this one, and why they continue to happen. Having said that, we are inviting lawyers and anyone with legalistic leanings, and you, to attend and try to put together a mock court. Nobody is out of order. We talk until someone else has something more interesting to say. In the real legal system, the argument will be joined in court and in the media by rightwingers and other proponents of Capitalist Unthink. You know where we are; we’re downmarket of Fox.
